Tigers/White Sox Postponed

If you went to Comerica Park this afternoon to see a ballgame, you were disappointed.

The Tigers/White Sox game was postponed because of the rain. The make-up date has not been determined, but there will be plenty of opportunities to get it in.

The rain today spoiled the home debut of Rick Porcello, who will get his next start Sunday at Seattle. armandogalarraga.jpg

Tomorrow afternoon, the two teams will once again get together at Comerica Park. The third game of the set will pit Jose Contreras (7.20 ERA / 2.00 WHIP) against Armando Galarraga (1.29 ERA / 0.86 WHIP.

It appears that Zach Miner will not get a start now until sometime next week.

As for the postponed game today, Jim Leyland said,

“I don’t get excited about stuff like that, because you can’t control it. You make the best decision you can and you live with it.”

Very true, very true!
