“I Guess I’m Back!”
That’s what Carlos Zambrano said upon the completion of a no hit performance against the Houston Astro’s! He hadn’t pitched since September 2. I’ve have said for the entire season – that if anyone was just destined to throw a no-no it was Carlos Zambrano! Last night it happened. I was watching the Tiger’s game on ESPN, and checked in on my ESPN MVP to see how the Cubs were doing. Low and behold… I see the line on Houston in the eighth… 0-0-1. Holy Crap! So, I turned on WGN Radio and started listening. Thankfully, ESPN cut into the Tiger’s rather dismal performance against the White Sox to show WGN-TV’s coverage of the 9th Inning. Good Stuff! I love watching a no-hitter. There’s just so much anticipation. You really get dialed in to each and evry pitch. There’s nothing like it. Nothing!
It’s the first no hitter by a Cubs pitcher since 1972 and the first one played in a neutral setting… Miller Park due to Hurricane Ike.

Brewers Fire Yost!
Looks like Ned Yost is out. Third-base coach Dale Sveum will become interim manager for the remainder of the season. Yost was in his sixth season with the Brewers.
Tigers Vs Rangers
The Detroit Tigers begin a three game set against Texas in Arlington tonight. Look for Dontrelle Willis on the mound for Detroit. It’s his first start in three months. His fifth start all year. Willis is 0-1 with a 10.32ERA and a 2.47 WHIP – OUCH!
On the Texas hill will be Brandon McCarthy. He’s 1-1 with a 4.22 ERA and a 1.31WHIP.
First pitch is at 8:05ET.
